According to NBC’s prediction, Brazil, starred by Neymar, perhaps playing the best football of his career, among others, is the biggest favourite to win the final tournament in 2022.
In second place is reigning world champion France, which was already strengthened by Karim Benzema, who returned to the national team in the European Championship final tournament. Benzema played a great season and is currently the biggest favourite to win this year’s Ballon d’Or. Benzema is given fire support by, e.g. Kylian Mbappe, who is in a terrible mood in his club team PSG.
Behind the pre-favourites, the biggest question is directed at the reigning Copa America winner Argentina, whose trophy cabinet is still missing from Lionel Messi‘s trophy cabinet, who will probably be appearing for the last time at the World Cup level.
For Portugal, one of the dark horse teams, on the other hand, it makes me wonder if Cristiano Ronaldo, who has been spending most of the season among the substitutes in his club team Manchester United, can even be included in the competition team anymore?
On the other hand, England considered the eternal failure of the final tournaments and got as close as possible as a finalist of the previous European Championships. After the qualifiers went well again, the expectations in the island nation have again been set to the ceiling for the realization of “It’s Coming Home”.
It is also easy to find triumphant favourites from Europe, e.g. In the form of Spain, Germany and Belgium.
Regarding the final tournament, the biggest surprise was already seen in the qualifying phase, when the reigning European champion Italy was wholly kicked out of the last game.
