In mid-May, EDCO’s representatives organized a three-day sales event at VALO Hotel & Work’s meetings and events facilities, and we had the honor of interviewing Jari van den Broek, who is in charge of the Finnish market for the company that arrived in Finland from the Netherlands.
“We organized a road show for our current and potential new customers. This means that we transported 3 pallets of our top products to the premises of VALO Hotel & Work and presented them in the showrooms reserved for us. After that, we invited customers to get to see the actual products”, describes van den Broek.
In addition to Jari, one of EDCO’s representatives was Audrey Broekmeulen, who is responsible for new clients throughout Europe.
When it comes to large international companies that come from outside Finland, one of the most interesting areas of interest is how did they end up organizing the event at VALO particularly.
“We were looking for a hotel in Helsinki designed for business travel and VALO managed to attract our attention. The open atmosphere and large spaces were the perfect combination for this type of event,” says van den Broek.
The choice turned out to be good in the end, and VALO received a lot of positive feedback from Dutch guests in several different areas.
“I think VALO hotel is a perfect example of what a functioning hotel should look like. The facilities were perfectly arranged and met all our needs. In addition to organizing the event, we had the opportunity to enjoy a good lunch and breakfast under the same roof. The wellness area upstairs was a good place to relax at the end of the day. In addition, the staff who worked at VALO were really helpful, and the service was of a high standard. All in all, our visit was a great success at the corporate level, and I really enjoyed it personally as well”, van den Broek continues.
According to van den Broek, a positive customer experience also means long-term cooperation with VALO. EDCO’s goal is to organize similar sales events in Finland every year, and since the arrangements for the event went so well with VALO, it is very likely that similar events will continue to be held in Ruskeasuo’s event facilities.
