It is possible to admire the glow of Easter bonfires at the Seurasaari celebration court. A smaller bonfire will be lit on April 8, 2023, at 6:30 pm. Shortly after that, the actual Easter bonfire will also be lit.
It is possible to prepare your own snacks at the barbecue area of the festival grounds. You can buy cold and hot drinks, snacks and cold sausages for grilling at the on-site kiosk. The event also organizes a small-scale program for the family’s youngest members.

American car lovers can enjoy the four-day American Car Show.
The exhibition started as a small hobby event and has expanded over the years into Finland’s largest Easter event for hobbyists and the whole family. During the event, participants can admire American irons restored to their peak from Finland and the rest of the world.
A total of four exhibitions are organized at the American Car Show, where, in addition to hobby cars, e.g. motorcycles and trucks.

Puppet Theater Sampo organizes the popular MEOW! – performances. During Easter week, there are three shows arranged for the whole family.
The famous puppet theatre presents folk traditions and beliefs related to Easter in a fast-paced puppet theatre cavalcade. The performance includes nursery rhymes, poems and songs, versatile puppetry skills and humour suitable for all ages.

During Art Walk afternoons, artists working in Suomenlinna open the doors of their studios to visitors.
Visitors can get to know the artisans and the products they make with their skills. The event also features the Helsinki Artists’ Society’s own HAA Gallery.

The UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra’s two Easter-themed concerts will be held on Maundy Thursday at Musiikkitalo and on Good Friday with an evening concert at Mikael Agricola’s church.
The orchestra has been giving concerts with the Silent Music theme for over 20 years, and for many the concerts have become one of the new traditions of the silent week.
This Easter, Danish pianist, composer and bandleader Kathrine Windfeldin (b. 1984), who is considered one of the most exciting and refreshing new Scandinavian jazz composers, will perform with UMO this Easter. Winfield also conducts the concert himself from behind the piano.

Johann Sebastian Bach’s Matthew Passion is a harsh journey into suffering, guilt and trials of faith. However, the bleak-sounding whole also includes moments of compassion, comfort and hope.
The purpose of Matthew’s passion is to delve more into inner feelings with an emphasis on action.

Via Crucis (Ristitie) is also one of the annual events in Helsinki. This theatrical parade is a symbol of Jesus’ pain on his way to the crucifixion.
It is a kind of street theater in which more than a hundred professional and amateur actors take part, performing a march of pain.
The parade starts from Kaisaniemi Park, moves to Säätytalo and from there to Senatintor.
