Valo’s name day is celebrated again this year on February 3, 2026. The Finnish Mental Health Association has marked Valon päivä as a theme day for people living with depression and their loved ones.
In February, the amount of daylight increases, but for someone experiencing depression this time can feel especially challenging. Depression is an illness that requires treatment and strong support from those around. About one in five Finns will experience depression at some point in their lives, and it is currently one of the leading causes of long-term sick leave among working-age Finns.
Through the joint campaign by VALO and the Finnish Mental Health Association, you can do good with your hotel stay. Book a hotel night now at a great rate and let’s do good together! For every hotel night booked with the code VALO, €1 will be donated to support the work of the Finnish Mental Health Association.

The campaign code and rates are valid only from February 3–10, 2026.
